Norman Thomas was right when he said in 1948, “The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism,’ they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”
With the expansion of Medicare and Medicaid in Obamacare, almost half of this country is “covered” now by the government, no out of pocket at all. And the other half of the country…many of them qualify for federally subsidized plans from the federal exchange. If you didn’t know this already, this law constitutes the entire swallowing up of the private healthcare system in this country, contrary to all the promises by Democrats. The American people were sold a lie of “choice and competition”. What we got is the inevitable federal takeover of all healthcare, like it or not.
In short, THIS..LAW..MUST..BE..UNDONE, not because if the horror of people having healthcare coverage, and not because conservatives hate granny and poor people, but because this type of centralization has never worked anywhere on earth….not efficiently…not humanely. If it’s not undone, our children, and our children’s children will see the undoing of this country financially, as their standard of living collapses, which by the way is already happening. They will be wholly owned by the state through onerous taxation, freedom, and the laws of economics and fiscal sanity be damned. After all, we’re talking about the common good here people. Don’t worry about all that though, the intentions of those advocating for these programs were good:
